Newspaper hawkers happy to receive Eid gifts

On the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha, the Kishoreganj Central Press Club gave Eid gifts to newspaper hawkers.
‎On Wednesday (June 4) afternoon, 28 hawkers of the district were given high-quality saris as Eid gifts for their families.

The Eid gift program was presided over by the president of the Kishoreganj Central Press Club, Ashraful Islam.

The program was moderated by the organization’s general secretary, Md. Al Amin, and was addressed by senior vice president Shafiq Adnan, district representative of Ekushey Television, Rumon Chakraborty, president of Kishoreganj District Newspaper Hawkers Cooperative Society Limited, Md. Jasim Uddin, general secretary, Md. Robin Mia and many others.

The newspaper hawkers expressed their excitement after receiving saris as gifts for their families before Eid. At that time, they expressed their gratitude to the organizers.

‎Among others, Kishoreganj Central Press Club Vice President Ali Reza Sumon, Joint General Secretary Sajan Ahmed Papon, Office Secretary Md. Jahangir Shah Badshah, Organizing Secretary Rakibul Hasan Rokel, Sports and Cultural Secretary Tanmoy Alamgir, Information and Technology Secretary Md. Saifullah Saif, Public Relations Secretary Md. Sakhawat Hossain Akash, members Mashiur Rahman Nadim, Shahiduzzaman Shuvo and others were present at the Eid gift ceremony.

‎The organizers said that this time, keeping the holy Eid-ul-Azha in view, Kishoreganj Central Press Club has distributed Eid gifts to the families of 28 newspaper hawkers in the district. The organization has been by the side of newspaper hawkers before too. Such activities will continue in the future as well.

‎Incidentally, the ‘Kishoreganj Central Press Club’ was launched on October 28 by a group of professional journalists under the slogan ‘United in revealing the truth’ to protect the rights and welfare of district and grassroots journalists.
