Common people are often robbed in the Saydabad bus stand/bridge area of ​​Jatrabari Zone, the gateway to the capital Dhaka.
Similarly, on Thursday (April 10), a passenger bus was robbed of 1 lakh taka in the Saydabad Bridge area of ​​Jatrabari zone. While the victim was snatching the money from Waliullah, son of Firoz Hossain of Bhasharchar village in Gazaria upazila of Munshiganj district, Sergeant Saniul Haque Robin, on duty at Tengu-449, based in Jatrabari-Saydabad Bridge, noticed the matter. He and his companion ASI Md. Jalil, with their efforts and courage, were able to arrest the robber by saving the pedestrians from being hit and beaten. During interrogation, the robber identified himself as Jahangir Alam, son of the deceased Yunus of Palang village in Palang upazila of Shariatpur district. He currently lives in Fatulla of Narayanganj district.
Sergeant Saniul Haque Robin said, “In this incident, we returned the stolen money to the real owner and handed over both the victim and the robber to Force ASI Mahabul of Sayedabad Fari and filed a GD. GD No. 195. We, the police force, are always striving to protect the lives and property of the people.”
