An Iftar and prayer mahfil was held in Ashtagram, Kishoreganj, at the initiative of Sadar Union Parishad for the recovery of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.
The Iftar and prayer mahfil was held with more than two hundred guests at the hall of Ashtagram Sadar Union Parishad on Wednesday (March 12).
Chairman of Sadar Union Parishad and former convener of Upazila BNP Syed Fayyaz Hasan (Babu) presided over the function. Central Fishermen’s Party leader Tanvir Ahmed Tamanna, Upazila BNP Senior Joint General Secretary Nizamul Haque Nazrul, Krishak Dal President Md. Yunus Ali, Swechchhasebak Dal convener Md. Jewel Mia, Member Secretary Yamin, Upazila BNP Office Secretary GM Mosharraf Uddin Halim, Upazila Tanti Dal Convener Md. Abu Sufian, Jesus Convener Rafiq Mia, Member Secretary Shahid Mia, Upazila Matsyajibi Dal Convener Mahfuz Alam Dana, Member Secretary Tanna Upazila Chhatra Dal Joint Convener Tafsir, Rotary Degree College Branch Chhatra Dal Member Secretary Md. Zakir Hossain and former District Jubo Dal Convener Mir Taposh along with leaders of affiliated organizations.
Former convener of Ashtagram Upazila BNP Syed Fayyaz Hasan said that this prayer mahfil has been organized to pray for the health of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and members of the Zia family and for peace throughout the country.
